Professional Training Terms & Conditions

Intellectual Property

All accredited professional training is undertaken with signed agreement completed with the registration form process (in-person or online) that you agree to be participating for individual use only and you confirm in the agreement sign that you are not a complementary therapy or Reflexology teacher in the past or present and have no intention of being a teacher in the future. If you are a Reflexology or Complementary Therapy teacher (past or present) you will not be accepted on any of the training with Ziggie Bergman or Louise Keet and if it is discovered after you have registered for a course, no refund will be offered and course content will be removed immediately. Legal action would be taken and or disciplinary action may be taken with your association.

You are agreeing to call Facial Reflexology Bergman Method, Cranial Reflexology Bergman Method and Zone Face Lift by it’s correct trademarked name and not use any part of this content or techniques, merged with other treatments and re-name it.

In addition you agree not to share the course contents or charts with others or post them online. There are copyright warnings to not share the Facial and Cranial Reflexology charts/maps typed on each chart, you are reminded to not share in class, and there’s copyright warnings listed in the online content and manual, and in confirmation emails. There is no possibility of misunderstanding the strict copyright conditions. This includes drawing Facial or Cranial Reflexology points on your face, copying points onto your own chart, drawing points onto a mannequin head and sharing the results in your treatment room or on social media or at events, this breaches copyright conditions and can result in legal action. If you are found to violate copyright, removing the content immediately will be considered regarding legal action, however all violations are taken seriously and your course content will automatically be removed without exceptions, with no refund and you will not be able to complete any outstanding courses or receive outstanding certificates. Be careful with social media videos and stills if you take any during training or after or in day to day social media reels, that you do not include the copyright material or maps in any form. Having Maps in shot breaches copyright. If you had music playing in the background of a video and don’t pay the music copyright you’d be sued and also have the material and possibly your account removed by Facebook or Instagram or TikTok or YouTube. This is the same as including copyright course material in the frame of a your content. I am sharing great detail here as there have been a number of breaches lately which takes up my valuable energy and time.

There’s a separate marketing section in each course with images you are allowed to share and this is clearly labelled in the curriculum.

You are also by participating in training with Ziggie Bergman and the London School of Reflexology and by participating agree to not teach any aspect of the Facial or Cranial Reflexology Bergman Method or Zone Face Lift course or any other training content in any form or variation. You agree to not demonstrate any techniques learned from Ziggie Bergman with others including on Zoom, social media and in live events workshops or trade shows. Permission may be given to show 2-3 points and written content must be obtained by email before posting online or sharing in an event. Ziggie Bergman owns all intellectual property rights for all modules of all her training.

Limited Licence to offer Bergman Method treatments

You are not purchasing any exclusivity or franchise to any of the CPD courses taught for example Facial or Cranial Reflexology Bergman Method, Zone Face Lift, Menopause: face, hand & foot reflexology, Facial Cupping, ASMR, Supine IHM or Herbal Compress, or any other therapies taught by Ziggie Bergman. There may be occasions when more than one practitioner offers the same treatment (example Zone Face Lift) in your village or area, we do not limit this in any way, as we do not discriminate if practitioners meet the pre-requisite criteria. But there are often more than one reflexologist, massage or beauty therapist in an area and all do well and have their individual strengths.

If you purchase a course we hereby grant you a non-transferable, non-exclusive licence to offer the treatment and techniques taught to you to be able to offer the treatment to individual clients and for your own therapy practice. All materials (including online videos, maps and charts and courses) are strictly for the purpose of supporting your learning in the relevant training and for your own educational, non-commercial purposes. Any breach of copyright such as posting Facial or Cranial Reflexology Charts online, sharing or copying them including the placement of points, drawing them 2D or 3D or any other course content will result in prosecution and removal of your ‘Limited Licence’ to offer the before mentioned therapies.

You must ensure that all of your course manuals, charts and supporting material including are not made available to others and you may not under any circumstances copy, reproduce, edit, sub-license, broadcast, distribute, sell, publish, or supply in any medium and in any manner any such materials (or any part of them) to any third party.

Teachers

All Ziggie Bergman and Louise Keet’s training is for individual Reflexologists and complementary therapists only, it is NOT open to teachers in any field of Holistic, Beauty, Reflexology or Complementary Therapy or brand training directors or spa trainers of any kind even if you also have a private therapy practice. You sign an agreement confirming you are not a teacher on each course registration which is signed and legally binding and you are reminded to read our T&C before proceeding. You also agree you will adhere to copyright and these T&C when you sign up for a course. If you are discovered to be a teacher your course content will be removed and legal action will be taken against you for breaching the conditions of training. No refunds are given to anyone breaching these T & C and no outstanding certificates will be issued. If still training you will not be allowed to complete the course. Deception given the agreement signed and warnings on registration emails to not proceed if you are a teacher would be seen as deliberate.

If you are a therapist or skincare or gua sha brand and have been paid to attend one of my courses to pass on course content to the brand or school or trainer/teacher do not attend and inform me even if you have already paid and registered. This has happened before so I am highlighting it here.

If you go onto become a Reflexology teacher of Compelmtary or Beauty therapy trainer or teacher or educator part time or full time or in training to do so after training with Ziggie you must inform her immediately. We understand careers develop and respect is important where graduates have informed me ‘Ziggie Bergman’ an amicable conclusion is reached. If it is hidden and or further courses are taken this is deception and legal action may be taken. Whilst those graduates who inform us they are training to be teachers will have their course content for online courses removed with no refunds and they will no longer be permitted to be in the closed Facebook post graduate group and community, we wish you luck and no legal action will be taken. However this is conditional that you are respectful of what you have learned and the work that goes into it and a reminder that you may not take any part of the training which is copyright and protected and use it in your own teaching or rename Facial or Cranial Reflexology, Gua Sha, Facial Cupping, Zone Face Lift, Menopause or any other training and content and if found to be breaching copyright legal action will be taken as well as damages.

Students

Any breach of copyright or our terms and conditions will lead to immediate removal of all course you content with no refund and removal from our Facebook community. You will not be allowed to attend any outstanding course dates and if copyright breaches continue and are not immediately rectified within 24 hours legal action will be taken.

Legal Notice

All Facial & Cranial & Menopause Reflexology charts or maps are registered and COPYRIGHT and may not be shared or posted online, turned into posters or used in any way including drawing points on a mannequin head or your own face. This warning is repeated here for the avoidance of doubt even though these warnings are on the charts and maps below each image. Charts and Maps are for your own learning during training this is to protect Bergman Method for Reflexologists. Even the charts in your manual have the copyright on it with the warning that copying, distribution and on-line posting is prohibited! No excuses I’m new to social media”, “I did not understand”, “I did not realise”, will be accepted. I will take legal action and seek damages and compensation for both legal fees and breach of copyright compensation.

By training individual therapists have a limited licensing to offer the therapy learned so long as copyright is not breached. If it is at the discretion of Ziggie Bergman you may be asked to cease offering the therapy and asked to cease using promotional material including qualified logos from your course or to refer to training with Ziggie Bergman for the purposes of suggesting you are sharing or teaching content in her training.

Additional Terms and Conditions

• Acceptance on the course is at the discretion of Ziggie Bergman. 

•  You are bound by the full terms and conditions (please read before registering for training and there is a reminder in your registration email an don the registration form) and be sure they are understood fully as you have accepted them when you register. 

•  We reserve the right to change dates, locations and, prior to the start date, cancel a course and no refunds will be offered, however we will offer alternative dates where possible. 

• You are not purchasing exclusivity or a franchise of the treatment learned with Ziggie Bergman in your town or area.

• You may not set up a professional name, business or personal social media page using for example Zone Face Lift or Facial Reflexology Ireland or London or Essex. This is unfair to others and causes confusion on social media with people contacting you thinking it is the official page with Ziggie Bergman. But you can say ‘Emily’s Zone Face Lift Essex’ or ‘Facial Refleoxlogy with Sara’ just for Facial Reflexology Brighton’ have your name in the title of page or website. Facial Reflexology Bergman Method, Cranial Reflexology Bergman Method and Zone Face Lift are registrered trademarks with protection of how those names can be used. If in doubt ask Ziggie.

• Cancellations should be submitted by email at least 30 days before the start of the course, the full course fee is non-refundable. Course transfers before you start a course are at the Principals/Ziggie Bergman’s discretion if there is a replacement course available on any teaching platform and an administration fee maybe payable and there are no course transfers once you start a course. If you fail to attend an In-Person course places are precious and you will be only offered a Zoom course alternate date not an In-Person but you can go on a waiting list.

• All courses are non-refundable, no exceptions.

• If any attendee does not disclose they are teachers or becomes a compelementary, beauty or reflexology teacher all course content will be removed with no refund and legal action will be taken if copyright of any course is breached.

• Separate to the course fee, there are some additional costs for the Zone Face Lift, Facial Cupping, Facial Gua Sha Mastery and other courses for things like tools, skincare and hot towels depending on which course. You are informed of this on the website before you register. We indicate those items which are essential and others optional so you are expected to account for these in your investment for each training.

• If you do not turn up for your course, or you ask to swap dates for any reason within 10 days of your course date it is non-exchangeable and you will not be offered an alternative date. It is your responsibility to have a mannequin head in case your model cannot attend. For Zone Face Lift, Facial Cupping and Gua Sha Mastery a live model is essential so have a back up. We usually have a waiting list for face to face courses, so if you do give us an opportunity to fill your place if there is a serious reason for not attending, and if we find someone to take your place, we may consider offering an alternative course date which is at the Principals/Ziggie Bergman’s discretion, if there is a replacement course available on any teaching platform. An administration fee maybe payable and there are no course transfers once you start a course.  No alternative date will be offered if you do not turn up or notify us with no notice to fill your place. This is disrespectful.

• Train Strikes - If there are transportation strikes, trains, planes, underground or busses etc, you are expected to find alternative transportation or travel the day before. No alternative course date will be offered if you do not attend. Regents University, London has parking. Courses are not cancelled because of strikes as we have many students travelling from afar internationally.
